Texas High- Grim Stadium Improvements
Venerable Grim Stadium the home of the Texas High Tigers looks like it is in for improvemets and more then likely they will be done soon.. (1.)The plan calls for 93,000 sq. feet of concrete to surround the stadium with 160 parking spaces. 2. A new field house will be constructed 3. Also new concession stands. with six serving windows. As most know, the press box is in the process of a rebuild and will be renamed the Al Hannah press box. Al has been the voice of the Tigers for years and years. He is on KCMC AM in Texarkana

Glad to be in a district with you guys now like old times. After watching you guys whoop up on JT teams that have given Longview trouble, I figured a Longview-Texas High match was inevitable, whether in district or exhibition. Looking forward to some great years for both of us. |

The Longview Lobos are in my view excellence when it comes to football. That said, old foes like Texas High and Marshall are ready to strap it on with them. I look for a packed house in Longview when Texas High comes to Gregg County. From the figures the UIL put forth it looks like LHS is first and THS is second in enrollments. So both of them will go DIV I if they make the playoffs. Does anyone remember the last time the Tigers and Lobos played ? I know it was in Texarkana and Longview won, but it seems like it was a fairly close score. It was not a district contest.

I will be at the Texas High Vs. Longview game. Our bye is that week.....woo hoo!!!!
Last DISTRICT game was in 1989. Longview won 40-7. Last game was in 1995 as a non district game. Longview won 29-12. I expect Lobo fans will appreciate 13-4A if for no other reason than having sold out houses for home district games instead of a visitors side with 500 people in it. Maybe we can bless them with a few nail-biters. I can't wait to see how this district shakes down. I expect it to be FUN. |

Aye. Even Lee never brought more than a couple hundred fans except in 04. JT brought quite a TON in 05, but hardly any any other time. I look forward to 4A
