last year the WRs werent the problem IMO.....we have not had a qb since Quincy Grant who has a strong enough arm to be accuarate on anything except for a long pass. Freeman had a good enough arm, especially for his size, but with vondrell and chris in the backfield who needs to throw? We had 2-3 WRs who could catch last season but only used two WRs....Brown and Larsen the TE. Most of the dropped passes were by the same 1-2 WRs....I wont name names but we know who they are. Also I think we had about 40 swing passes dropped not bc the WR could not catch but bc he was taking his eye of the ball trying to look up field. We don't throw enough to get 3-4 WRs involved in game much less get them used to the ball coming their way at any time. Running is our strength and if we dont have the talent in the backfield then we will struggle at times. The good thing is this year it wont matter much bc I think we will have a excellent backfield. I think this year we will have a QB with a pretty good arm and 2-3 WR to catch. I hear there is another Bball player by the name of Mcdaniel I think who has come out for football and is good. This year we will have a very good WR in Carey Fortson and Aaron Holllins who is back who maybe had 2 passes thrown to him all year last year.

Keeping your eye on the ball is part of being able to catch. If you don't watch the ball then I put you in the same category as stone hands. Regardless, you are right. Our QB situation has not been so good for a while now. The problem has been in both throwing and catching. That's why I said as much in my post. Many of the swing passes were completely blown by the QB. Remember the swing pass interception against John Curtis last year? The QB had a 10 yard pass, threw it 20 yards into the hands of a defender who was no where near the play. That silly stuff has to stop.

We will have a much, much improved passing game this season. The coaches will have all the tools they need to have a potent offense.
